In June, just after midsummer’s day, we held a three-day event of Body Mind and Spirit to celebrate the opening of our new information centre and to provide a little nurturing for women. It was a great success.

In all we had 105 women getting treatments from 6 therapists Helen did reflexology, Caroline did head massage and back massages, Karen treated women to French Manicures and hand massage. Liz treated women to Aura Soma Colour Therapy, Lori offered Reiki and Catherine was very busy giving angel card readings.

The sun shone on us for the four days and Anne Keegan (LES), Esther McGearty and Denise McGrotty (Southside Partnership) provided information on welfare rights and starting businesses. In all it was very successful and will be repeated in our Women’s Health information Fair in October. Some of the therapists will be offering their services in our room in Shanganagh Park House from September at very competitive rates.
